VIDEO: What’s happening in Congress this week

This Tuesday, the House will vote on a funding stopgap measure to prevent a government shutdown, pushing the deadline for a funding agreement from this Thursday to December 20. This continuing resolution (commonly referred to as a CR) would allow lawmakers to put off final decisions on controversial funding issues.

At the same time, the impeachment inquiry continues to be big news on Capitol Hill. This week, the House will continue its impeachment inquiry into President Trump, bringing in eight new witnesses to testify.
