Health Care - Open Enrollment DeadlineThis Friday, December 15, is the deadline to sign up for health coverage under the Affordable Care Act (ACA). Folks in the 39 states that use the federal website, healthcare.gov, must enroll in health coverage by the end of Open Enrollment this Friday, or will likely have to pay a fine at tax time.

Last week, UnidosUS hosted an Open Enrollment Tele-Townhall to share important information and resources so that everyone can get covered. UnidosUS President and CEO Janet Murguía, along with special guests from Young Invincibles and The Children’s Partnership, discussed the importance of health coverage, and why everyone, from young adults to parents need to sign-up.

These guests also took questions from members of the community. If you missed the call and still have enrollment questions make sure to check it out by pressing the “play” button below:

Health coverage means peace of mind for families, it means being able to take your child to the pediatrician instead of the emergency room, and it means having access to preventive services, like blood pressure screenings, so you can stay on top of your own health.
